Review: My old laptop had burned after a few years of good use, being an older model Toshiba Satellite. Looking for a decent replacement I found this laptop because of the price. That said, I feel that my purchase was worth it. From Windows 7 to Windows 8 has been a learning curve at least, but with the Classic Shell program and the fact that Windows 8 has an option to use an interface "Desktop" really helped make my experience with Windows 8 a transition rather easy.

If you are looking to buy this and downgrade to Windows 7, be careful. After all my research, it is possible that the drivers will not work with Windows 7. It was the only reason I did not downgrade myself.

I will say that the sound is absolutely horrible and the camera is less satisfactory. Both could have done better. There is a weak sense to the laptop itself, but not as bad. The keys on the keyboard when typing feel is very cheap and could break if I had too much pressure. I do not use the keyboard but instead a USB mouse that works perfectly well when you disable the touch pad. I never liked it and always use either wireless or wired mouse. (Read More...)
